Earlier mobile phones were developed to be operated up on a single sim card.but with the introduction of mobile phones with dual sim one can have multiple sim cards in a single phone .it is like having a person with multiple identity or having a system having multiple operating systems.a person may select in what mode he may be ;that he may be acessing the phone and he may be in the mode of the first sim card he can turn it own;but the demerit is that he cannot acess the calls that he gets through the second sim card.one can use a particular sim for his near and dear ones and other for his business deals which makes it special.some of the dual sim card mobile phones also supports a combination of cdma and agsm simcard.modern phones also have callforwarding capability from one sim card to another.so the uncomfortable journey of a middle class man carrying multiple phones for his personal use and for his business deal is finally over
