GPRS is the technology which further maximizes the communication capabilities of an ordinary cell phone. It was considered to be first great revelation in the field of mobile phone network communication .one was able to access internet with the arrival of the gprs system. so mobile phone in all the sense of the word became more useful. one can check their mails, participate in debates, participate in contests, download movies games, online chat; these all features were possible with the introduction of gprs in a mobile phone. so people no need to carry their laptops with them to access the internet which brought about a sea change in many people’s lifes. Although gprs have the above mentioned advantage over the conventional internet it has a major disadvantage. it is much slower than the conventional internet. Some times downloading and data transfer speed are painfully low. so barring this disadvantage it is widely popular.
